Structural Tank Materials

One of the most frequent questions we get is about tank materials. Our filters and aeration systems all use Structural mineral tanks.

“Fiberglass” mineral tanks are technically called FRP tanks. FRP stands for “fiberglass reinforced plastic.”

Structural FRP tanks are the ideal choice for residential and light commercial water treatment applications that require flexibility. Structural FRP vessels improve your water treatment system and they are easy to handle and install. They are very light. Structural uses FRP with a polyethylene inner shell as a material of construction. Their standard color is natural, and other colors are available upon request. Structural FRP tanks have top opening with 2.5"-4.5" threaded. Their maximum operating pressure is 150 psi, and maximum operating temperature is 120°F (49°C).
